The Blue Mountain Lake Bed is an authentic early 1900s design by Old Hickory, a company founded in 1898 and renowned for furnishing many of America’s most iconic lodges and national parks—from Yellowstone to the historic Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina.
Still built today by Old Hickory using time-honored techniques, each bed is crafted from genuine hickory, highlighting the natural character of the wood—subtle bends, grain variation, and hand-joined construction—paired with woven panels that add both texture and warmth.
Shown here in the Antique Vintage Weave with hickory in the Centennial finish, the Blue Mountain Lake Bed is also available in:
- Vintage Weave
- Wood Splint
- Open Cane
- Antique Open Cane
(All of these weaves available at the same price.)
Our preferred combination: Vintage Weave in Tahoe Bark with Centennial finish—a smooth, warm tone that works beautifully in both rustic and more refined lake or mountain interiors.
At home in everything from classic lodge settings to clean, white-walled lake houses, this is a piece that has remained relevant for over a century—because it was built the right way from the start.
Seibels is proud to be recognized by Old Hickory as their leading retailer of the Blue Mountain Lake Bed in the United States.
